Layoff available December through March A Massachusetts Pesticide Applicators License is required for this position.
Essential Functions:
Ability to lift lawn care products and/or equipment, up to 80 lbs.
Apply lawn care and ornamental care treatments (fertilization, insect/disease/weed control) according to Standard Operating Procedures.
Accurately measure and price lawn care and tree/shrub programs.
Communicate clearly with customers and co-workers in a professional, positive, and supportive manner.
Maintain neat and clean vehicle/equipment.
Record daily production accurately on your time sheet.
Conduct business with honesty and integrity.
Attend safety meetings.
Work Environment:
Working predominantly outside in a variety of weather conditions (sun/heat, rain).
Some indoor work requires performing equipment maintenance and administrative tasks, especially during winter months.
The lawn care is a fast-paced division that experience extremely busy, stressful times in the spring, early summer, and fall.
You can expect to work long hours (45 hours or more per week) during the spring.

Responsibilities:
Adhere to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Maintain a MA state pesticide license.
Apply lawn care treatments (fertilization, insect/disease/weed control); diagnose for any lawn care issues and make necessary recommendations.
Apply tree/shrub care treatments (fertilization, insect/disease control); diagnose for any tree/shrub care issues and make necessary recommendations.
Review invoices to determine equipment and product needs; complete invoices with customer notes.
Communicate with customers and management regarding your accounts and address our customer's needs in a proactive manner.
Anticipate our customer's current and future needs, and up sell accordingly.
Perform basic maintenance on spreaders and other equipment; arrange for repair or service of equipment, when necessary.
Organize work on a daily/weekly basis; ensure equipment is ready for use.
Complete paperwork detailing product usage and hours worked.
Meet management goals for productivity and customer satisfaction on your route.
Attend required meetings.
Compensation:
--$19-$25/hr based upon licensing and experience --Commission of 2.
